Through the Slipstream

Context time:

So I was inspired by the master piece that was Across the Spider-Verse, in fact, I can't really say I had any other source of inspiration for this little big project since, well, I kinda had a little, like, divorce from Overwatch, long ago. It's a whole story.

HOWEVER!!!!! I have found myself enjoying it a. LOT. By taking another perspective. So basically, I started imagining different character skins being dimensional variants with different stories and.. It stuck? This is a personal interpretation that (I think it makes the game more enjoyable and) I know, and you should all too, is not canon, I am not affiliated with Activision-Blizzard in any way.

SO. Instead of keeping an archive of everything I write about it on my phone, I'll post it here, cause I can't lie I also really wanted it out in the world. For now rejoice on the Pemberton songs that convey the feeling of each section the best, through their hyperlinks.

The Slipstream: The constant flow of existence, forever coursing passing through every universe. WIP: here is where I'll lay bare the lore of the storyworld as a whole, alongside my take on what the story from the "original" Overwatch Stream would be after the events of London Calling. And yes, it's named that way because of the fighter jet.
Streams: Each individual reality, fundamentally made of the same as all the rest, but varying in space and time due to being on different physical positions within the Slipstream. WIP: basically what other IPs would call each Earth. All Streams form something we can understand as a blood vessel, with the Slipstream that feeds it running inside it. Each Stream gets a designation based on a colloquial name's checksum value of the CRC-32Q type (used in aviation, so a great fit for interdimensional coordinates and travelling). Long story short, checksums are values that data can take, and it is used to make sure said data does not go corrupt, great metaphor for keeping a multiverse stable. Anyways, as an example, the Stream where most "original Overwatch" skins comes from is S-1B 12 59 10, informally, the Glory Days Stream
Constants: The different manifestations that stem from the same essence of existence(?), usually in the form of individuals. WIP: This is gonna list all Overwatch characters, so that then you can see the individual variants of whoever you chose. May also make general descriptions of each one's canon events. No I have not yet decided how I am gonna name canon events for this world. pleas help
Variables: Unsorted, all recruited Variants from all across the Slipstream, alongside crucial information about them. WIP: a full blown out list of all Variants, which basically means, of every single Overwatch skin (EXCEPT RARE AND BLIZZCON SKINS), listing their canon events (halp) and gear information. Maybe some pics too :>

Overwatch: Through the Slipstream.

WIP STATUS: currently learning HTML/CSS, and writing a Tracer variant. Will port over 3 Tracer variants (Classic, Posh, Sporty. They will have more depth this is just so you recognize them) I have already written as soon as I can.
